It became my main music player
I read that there is a very short list of apps people use on a daily basis. This is one of mine. Ive got quite a few pairs of good headphones including over the ear, on ear, and IEMs. I prefer Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, and Klipsch for my headsets. (I love my X10i IEMs!) Im a bit of an accidental audiophile... I certainly dont make any grand claims but I know what I like. That said, this app is great for making my library sound great, almost (but not quite) as good as sitting in front of my sound system at home. The crossfeed really is great and whatever math they are using works. I recommend having a listen and play with the settings. Its fun and you will hear a difference! If I had a gripe it is not being able to display lyrics Ive added to my library over the years. The latest versions have been stable and nice looking. Get this!
Works great with sennheiser momentums. Bass more solid, treble and vocals very clear.
Okay, Ill admit it, I am a bit of an audio snob, but also an audio snob on a budget. I am always looking for good values in sound, and after trying NUMEROUS apps that deal with sound improvement, this is simply THE BEST. It makes headphones come alive and sound far better than the standard music app. The interface is also elegant and easy to navigate. If you enjoy listening to music on an ios device, Can Opener is for you! It turns an iPad or iPhone into a truly great music device!
The crossfade options alone make it worth the price. I dont regret buying the pencil EQ either to get an extra +6 DB boost for those older, un-remastered albums. The flaws keep me going back to Bongiovi. The two fatal ones: 1) Terrible navigation design, especially exiting the tweaking menus (having to click the x instead of just tapping elsewhere; a lot of small that get tedious after a while). Lack of ability to create playlists within the app hurts as well. 2) App crashes upon opening, forcing a delete and reinstall. 99% positive this has to do with importing music via the "Open In" feature. Can Opener stays on my device but it is not friendly enough to be my primary player.
Best app ever!!!…worth more than App Store price…would pay 10xs for quality like this on "go 2"apps like Dropbox Evernote ect… should b #1 all time
By far the most backassward navigation on any app to date . Sounds good with cross feed separation . Whats the most irritating is the fact that this app has no reason to require data connection yet every time I open the app it requires adjusting data connectivity - I actually dislike every aspect of the app except the sound . Since IOS 8.2 update it has become so unstable that it is pointless to use anymore . The app has potential but so poorly executed that Im looking at other apps with cross feed for use with my headphones. Also its pointless to contact support as it doesnt exist
This app is a great concept for improving the music experience on iOS devices. Certainly worththe cost.
This is one nice app! Adjust your music tone to your specific listening device if available. You also have an EQ!
First EQ app I tried. Works great! Need not try another.
Incredibly well designed and performing app for audiophiles. Love this. Went searching for something to replace my HeadRoom headphone amp and this fit the bill! Gorgeous! Thanks!
On a 5s, I often have to uninstall and reinstall due to multiple crashes. Splash screen, headphone select, crash. When it does work, its terrific and a fantastic FLAC file player. Please fix. Update: app continually crashing again; zero response from company
This is one of those rare apps that is delightful right out of the gate. Its claim to fame is a unique crossfeed feature that gives a subtle, speaker-like sound. I appreciate how this feature can be combined with the EQ to make the music feel alive instead of squashed. The effect is tasteful instead of gimmicky like some EQs. Another awesome feature is the ability to save output presets that are customized for the sets of headphones I use (Shure, Etymotic, Apple). Its great how (by default) the app prompts you to choose the right output preset whenever you plug in your headphones. Another excellent feature for headphone listeners is the Dosimeter, which gives you a current & average loudness measurement so that you can protect your hearing. What I didnt know when I bought it is that the UI is fantastic and could easily be a showcase app for iOS. The navigation of your music library is easy and classy. Keep in mind that the only albums and artists under your library are those youve stored on the device, not those you might stream from iTunes Match. A+ app! I even bought all the in-app upgrades.
I am somewhat of an audiophile on a budget and have a variety of earbuds ranging from cheap Skullcandys for work to more expensive AKGs. The app itself is simply amazing and very easy to use. There is definitely a noticeable difference in sound quality when I tweak the settings to match the frequencies my headphones can reach. My truck also has two pairs of Infinity Kappa 6x8s with Kappa 10 inch dual sealed subwoofers. This app doesnt only work for headphones. The difference is simply amazing as my head unit is cheap and only had an auxiliary jack with very limited equalization options. I highly recommend the app.
You can really tell the difference in audio quality. Greatly enhances the headphone experience. Dont hesitate to buy this app.
Have enjoyed this app since it came out. Best one out there- but I am having issues with IOS 8.3. I emailed the company but they never responded.
Quick intuitive interface and, in my opinion, an improved sound ( over stock music app) with or with out cross feed enabled. My current request is for horizontal orientation support. I like to set the phone down with the equalizer going, which will never be oriented correctly with the headphone jack on the bottom of the phone.
The iPhone speaker enhancement is broken on iPhone 6
Apple should buy this app and fold the tech into iOS like yesterday.
Perfect app for getting the most out of your music.
