This is a godsend

I have tons of audio in my library from all different sources and formats. With CanOpener I can enjoy them all with ease, convenience and great sound!

This app is money

Straight cash

Canopener opens up a new world of sound!

Having a hearing loss takes all the fun out of listening to music. If you listen with hearing aids, they restrict you to the wavelengths that hearing aids span. Music covers a wider range of wavelengths than speech does. With Canopener, i remove the hearing aids and use the apps technology and my audiogram to boost the volume at the appropriate wavelengths specific to my hearing loss. On my wish list is to ask the developers to modify the app so I can adjust each ear individually. Another great feature is the dosimeter which shows me how loud my music is, in decibels, so I can prevent further damage to my hearing. Great app.

Nice, but...

...the dosimeter is somewhat flawed in that it assumes you have no volume limit set. This is easy to work around temporarily, but it makes the lifetime exposure metric useless. One potential solution for the developers to implement if the limit isnt available through an API would be to have the user take a screenshot of the volume limit setting screen, then pull it from the camera roll to determine where the slider is set.

Impressive application for audiophiles

I consider myself an intermediate level audiophile and Ive tested many music player apps for my iOS device. This one is the first that has provided me with the blend of sound quality and features that leaves me completely satisfied. While I find the in-app purchase prices a little steep, I cant deny that I really like the Pencil EQ capability. I highly recommend this app to any music lovers and audiophiles.

Literally just bought this 10 minutes ago..

And I am blown away. A+ to the developers, this is what a portable audiophile experience should be like.

Great sound / Awesome design

Absolutely impressive.

Stunning app

Very slick looking app, makes my headphones sing. Im listening to music I havent touched in years thanks to CanOpener.

Bass in your face.

Lovely app for audiophiles. Wish the extra in-app purchases were all offered at a lower price though.

Can opener app.

Excellent sound with Bose headphone

Very nice

Profiles are a bit subtle but the app does make my P5s sound better.

A Bargain!

Gives you that extra bit of soul from your digital output. Ive used this app with a set of B&W C5s, Beyerdynamic DT990s, and the stock iPhone EarPods, and I find the sound quality can be tweaked to sound a lot better than default with each.

Improves the listening experience.

Ive had this app for close to a year now. Worth the investment if you care about how your music sounds.

Your ears will thank you

A life altering purchase. If you at all care about the quality of what you are feeding your ears, you need this app.

Best mysic app ever!

I love the interface and how the app brings flac and the main music library together! Everything else is great but I would love it more if we get lyrics in the app. Otherwise, loving it so far.

Wow, just wow

It is not only a better music player, but THE perfect one ! A app that audiophile must have, the sound is just great, with a editable equaliser, FLAC compatibility... It cost the in-app purchases price ! Great work, developers !

Great product

I give it a 5 star rating. It adds flac file support and cleans up the audio output nicely. Even Bluetooth sounds better! I find its even easier to use than the stock Apple player.

Great app for people who like there music

Love the fact that it tells you how loud your music is and how you can change the levels of bass and treble . One complaint is that the pencil eq which is a really cool part is not part of the app and you must pay money to get it. Other than that awesome app!

Better Sound!

This app does everything it promises to do. If you care about audio quality and your hearing, and you have a good pair of headphones or in-ears - Can Opener is worth it.

Sounds good

Works as advertised how ever will often stop play back of some songs. Have to force close it to resume.
